A Newfoundland and Her New Pet Rock

A few days ago Katy discovered a fabulous toy in the backyard — a rock about the size of a walnut. She has been playing with it nearly non-stop for 3 days now. Yesterday after lunch she played with it for TWO HOURS while I worked. Two straight hours! Batting it around, pouncing on it, and snooting it. The toys I have made and purchased for her were cast aside like yesterday's news. She carries it around and sleeps next to it.

Awwww how cute! My boyfriend wants to get a newfie someday, I'm not sure about it though, not sure I could handle a dog that big. They're certainly beautiful though :)

Cute! Reminds me of my young cousins who, during my last visit, disregarded their basement full of toys to play with a ball of tin foil.

haha! great video, my mums dog loves rocks also! he tries to bring them inside but she doesn't let him. He's smaller than your dog but likes the bigger rocks... haha

haha... don't you love how you can buy pets all these things, and they fixate on something completely random? out of all the cat toys I've tried, the only thing my cat plays with are these 2 plastic easter eggs I got a few years ago...

Dogs can be a hoot, I had a Dobi that kept grapefruit from the tree in the yard in his bed for weeks at a time..too funny.

I love that! And the way the "story" ends.. too cute!
I had a cat that did the same with half a plastic Easter egg. With hardwood floors, we had quite the 1-man soccer games here!

Great video, and great dog - and that's a vintage rock, so you could totally sell it on Etsy as a dog toy! lol
