I have a confession to make! I stumbled upon this blog about a year and a half ago when I was following up on an episode of Grey's Anatomy where they showed a patient who had brain damage to one part of his parietal lobe -- I thought that the show portrayed the patient incorrectly, and wanted to see if I could get to the bottom of it, and luckily your blog answered my question!
As a psych major at Lewis and Clark college in Portland, OR, I thought that your blog was really interesting so bookmarked it and came back to it from time to time.
Just now I was on the Etsy forums and I saw your icon, so clicked on it, and it brought me here! I didn't know that you were a seller on Etsy, and the coincidence that I was led to your blog yet again made me smile!
Long story short -- great blog, thank you for writing!
Those shelves *are* great, and not too hard to install. The only real difficulty was in finding all the pieces in stock at the Home Depot. They're reasonably priced, as I recall, and all you need to do is screw them into the walls (i.e. into the studs unless you want a spectacular problem later).
They were kind of time consuming, but well worth it. :)
I wish I had a book shelf like that. I am trying to figure out how to currently move stuff around in the 4 to 5 ceiling high bookshelves I have now. I love books.
I agree that you have an impressive book collection. Thanks for visiting my blog. I've visited yours before actually. You asked about the large number of in state readers of blog (Idaho). I do give our my business cards like crazy but I'm not really sure what to attibute this to. I should look at my stats a bit more closely, I imagine that the Idahoans repesent a higher proportion of the returning visitors.
I'm a papermaker, a newspaper editor, and have a PhD in primate social psychology — I guess you could say I am a paper expert! Toddler Field Notes and her two canine companions — both Newfoundlands — make frequent appearances here.

Impressive. I like the bookshelf too.
Impressive-- both in numbers and in organization.
Books go straight to my heart!
I REALLY need to read more books.
Feel free to convo me with some recommendations :)
I need your book shelf!! My books are scattered here and there and in ever nook and cranny that's available!

Uh, yes, that is the most tidy part of the room. I should show you what the inside of the closet looks like! Scary.
