If you want to learn more about world events, the TV won't help. Before I started reading the newspaper regularly, I wouldn't have been able to identify 18 out of 20 of these people. Only a handful ever make mention on TV, but some occasionally appear in the newspaper... that's my plug for newspapers! They are way better than network news.
I'm a papermaker, a newspaper editor, and have a PhD in primate social psychology — I guess you could say I am a paper expert! Toddler Field Notes and her two canine companions — both Newfoundlands — make frequent appearances here.
